About Ayurveda:

Ayurveda is sometimes referred to as the Science of Life. It is an ancient, complex and beautiful system of health that looks at us as a being of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions and treats your health from this same multidimensional perspective.

Ayurveda teaches that as a part of nature, we are subject to the laws of nature. It’s sublime perspective is one that espouses aligning with the cycles and the seasons of Nature and of your life.




The 5 Elements of Nature combine to make up all that we are, all that we see, think and do. All of creation can be viewed and understood from the perspective of the Elements and the lens of the Gunas. Ayurveda says the Elements combine uniquely in each of us and these energies are known as the doshas -- our unique, individual blueprint. Our doshic makeup can assist us in understanding what our particular tendencies are and how to balance them.

The aim of Ayurveda is to teach us how to remain in balance with the rhythms of Nature and the energies of our doshas. The promise of Ayurveda is that when we learn to do this there is not only greater vibrancy and health in the physical body, but a greater sense of connection to the All That Is, to Consciousness itself. And when that happens, our experience is one of greater ease, joy and gratitude. We embody the flow of balanced living.
